Puri D\u00edaz naci\u00f3 y creci\u00f3 en Vigo (Galicia), una ciudad Atl\u00e1ntica con car\u00e1cter industrial pero rodeada de espectaculares playas de arena blanca y frondosos bosques.
\nPuri desde peque\u00f1a siempre quiso tener una profesi\u00f3n creativa y estudi\u00f3 Bellas Artes en Barcelona, ciudad donde la vida la llev\u00f3 antes de regresar de nuevo a Vigo.
\nSe cri\u00f3 rodeada de fotos, pinturas, dibujos y barcos hechos por su bisabuelo en un peque\u00f1o taller.
\nLe encanta el olor a mar y a caf\u00e9.
\nY es justo al lado del mar donde vive y donde se inspir\u00f3 para esta serie de fotograf\u00edas.
\nEs el barrio de Bouzas en Vigo, al lado del puerto, donde Puri pase\u00f3 y retrat\u00f3 las pieles de los grandes buques mientras reposaban despu\u00e9s de sus traves\u00edas. Como ella dice \u201cDisfruto paseando y observando las \u201ccicatrices de sus pieles\u201d. Lo que el mar les hace y c\u00f3mo los transforma.\u201d
\nY justo esas pieles de acero con sus cicatrices despu\u00e9s de meses en el mar es el resultado de esta maravillosa colecci\u00f3n con sabor a sal y olor a mar.<\/p>\n

About the Artist:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Puri D\u00edaz was born&raised in Vigo (Galicia), an Atlantic city with an industrial character but surrounded by spectacular white sand beaches and lush forests.<\/p>\n

Puri always wanted to have a creative profession since she was a child and studied Fine Arts in Barcelona, where life took her before returning to Vigo.<\/p>\n

She grew up surrounded by photos, paintings, drawings and boats made by her great-grandfather in a small workshop<\/p>\n

She loves the smell of the sea and coffee.<\/p>\n

And it is right next to the sea where she lives and where she was inspired for this series of photographs.<\/p>\n

It is the Bouzas neighborhood in Vigo, next to the port, where Puri walked and photographed the skins of the big ships as they rested after their voyages. As she says, \u201cI enjoy walking and observing the \u201cscars on their skins.\u201d What the sea does to them and how it transforms them.\u201d<\/p>\n

And precisely those steel skins with their scars after months at sea are the result of this wonderful collection with the taste of salt and the smell of the sea.<\/p>\n
