A fishing port where the boats are the protagonists.<\/p>\n

Sometimes the sea has calm days but other days there are great storms that leave their mark.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s about that mark that remains on the skin of the boats that I am going to talk to you about today.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE ARTIST<\/h4>\n

Puri D\u00edaz<\/strong> was born&raised in Vigo<\/strong> (Galicia), an Atlantic city with an industrial character but surrounded by spectacular white sand beaches and lush forests.<\/p>\n

Puri always wanted to have a creative profession since she was a child and studied Fine Arts in Barcelona, where life took her before returning to Vigo.<\/p>\n

She grew up surrounded by photos, paintings, drawings and boats made by her great-grandfather in a small workshop.<\/p>\n

She loves the smell of the sea and coffee.<\/p>\n

SOBRE LA ARTISTA<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

Puri D\u00edaz<\/strong> naci\u00f3 y creci\u00f3 en Vigo<\/strong> (Galicia), una ciudad Atl\u00e1ntica con car\u00e1cter industrial pero rodeada de espectaculares paisajes de playas de arena blanca y frondosos bosques.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Puri desde peque\u00f1a siempre quiso tener una profesi\u00f3n creativa y estudi\u00f3 Bellas Artes en Barcelona, ciudad donde la vida la llev\u00f3 antes de regresar de nuevo a Vigo.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Se cri\u00f3 rodeada de fotos, pinturas, dibujos y barcos hechos por su bisabuelo en un peque\u00f1o taller.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Le encanta el olor a mar y a caf\u00e9.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Y es justo al lado del mar donde vive y donde se inspir\u00f3 para esta serie de fotograf\u00edas.<\/em><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_height_percent=”0″ override_padding=”yes” h_padding=”2″ top_padding=”2″ bottom_padding=”0″ overlay_alpha=”50″ equal_height=”yes” gutter_size=”3″ column_width_percent=”100″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”157823″]It is the Bouzas neighborhood in Vigo, next to the port, where Puri walked and photographed the skins of the big ships as they rested after their voyages.<\/p>\n

As she says:<\/p>\n

\u201cI enjoy walking and observing the \u201cscars on their skins.\u201d What the sea does to them and how it transforms them.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Como ella dice:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDisfruto paseando y observando las \u201ccicatrices de sus pieles. \u00a0Lo que el mar les hace y c\u00f3mo los transforma.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

About Atlantic Port Colecction<\/h4>\n

I was pretty sure that N\u00e9boa concept would have a important space for art. And I was also clear that it would be Art aligned with Atlantic Culture.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of N\u00e9boa concept, in 2016, the inspiration and connection with the Atlantic port of Vigo was the key to create Lar Atl\u00e1ntica<\/strong><\/a>, so in this first series of exclusive Photography for N\u00e9boa concept, it could not be other than to bring such an important detail in the Atlantic landscape as the large ships that rest in our ports.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”107321″]<\/p>\n

Sobre la obra Atlantic Port<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

Ten\u00eda claro que N\u00e9boa concept tendr\u00eda un espacio destacado para el arte. Y tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda claro que ser\u00eda Arte alineado con la Cultura Atl\u00e1ntica. <\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

En los principios de N\u00e9boa concept, en 2016, la inspiraci\u00f3n y conexi\u00f3n con el puerto Atl\u00e1ntico de Vigo fue clave para crear Lar Atl\u00e1ntica<\/strong><\/a>, as\u00ed que en esta primera serie de Fotograf\u00eda exclusiva para N\u00e9boa concept, no pod\u00eda ser otra que traer un detalle tan importante en el paisaje Atl\u00e1ntico como son los grandes barcos que descansan en nuestros puertos.<\/span><\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/4″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row row_height_percent=”0″ overlay_alpha=”50″ equal_height=”yes” gutter_size=”3″ column_width_percent=”100″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″][vc_column column_width_percent=”100″ position_vertical=”middle” gutter_size=”3″ overlay_alpha=”50″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ width=”1\/3″ uncode_shortcode_id=”784259″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”976702″]And another challenge I had was that all those people who want to give a touch of Atlantic Style<\/strong> to their home could do so through the selection of Atlantic art from N\u00e9boa concept.<\/p>\n

Each image is a close look at the steel skin that covers each ship, its markings and its colors.<\/p>\n

We are used to seeing them from a distance, we do not usually have them so close.<\/p>\n

Cada imagen es una mirada de cerca a la piel de acero que cubre cada barco, sus marcas y sus colores.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Estamos acostumbrados a verlos de lejos, no solemos tenerlos tan cerca.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
