The ATLANTIC PORT series are made by Puri Díaz exclusively for Néboa concept.

About the Artist:

Puri Díaz was born&raised in Vigo (Galicia), an Atlantic city with an industrial character but surrounded by spectacular white sand beaches and lush forests.

Puri always wanted to have a creative profession since she was a child and studied Fine Arts in Barcelona, where life took her before returning to Vigo.

She grew up surrounded by photos, paintings, drawings and boats made by her great-grandfather in a small workshop

She loves the smell of the sea and coffee.

And it is right next to the sea where she lives and where she was inspired for this series of photographs.

It is the Bouzas neighborhood in Vigo, next to the port, where Puri walked and photographed the skins of the big ships as they rested after their voyages. As she says, “I enjoy walking and observing the “scars on their skins.” What the sea does to them and how it transforms them.”

And precisely those steel skins with their scars after months at sea are the result of this wonderful collection with the taste of salt and the smell of the sea.
